Behind the Counter is an upcoming documentary series that dives into the lives of workers in Rio de Janeiro’s botequins (traditional neighborhood bars). Each episode introduces waiters, waitresses, cooks, cleaners, and managers who share the memories and stories that define Rio’s bohemian culture.

Welcome spotlights the power imbalances between community members, law enforcement, and immigrants. Based on true events, the drama written, produced, and directed by Victor Brasil Salgado, won the Suncoast Student Emmy Award 2025 for Best Fiction - Short Form.

Logline: A Ukrainian house cleaner faces an unexpected visit from a neighbor while grappling with the impact of the war.

Delivery

Delivery is a drama about the conflict between self-respect and ambition. Inspired by filmmaker Victor Brasil Salgado's own path through the TV industry and immigrant experiences, the film is nominated at the DIFF Shorts Official Selection 2025.

Logline: Pedro, a struggling actor surviving as a delivery driver, experiences a shift in his perspective after a breakdown.
